Christmas 2017 event was available from December 20, 2017 at 5:00 am EST until January 3, 2018 at 23:59 EST. It featured six new complete outfits (Frozen Soldier, Feral Nomad, Christmas Elf, Matryoshka Princess, Glassy Light Queen, and Wintry Monarch), miscellaneous outfit pieces, three new exploration companions (Bloobun, Owlett, and Xylvra), and the return of the Christmas Land Event Exploration Map. The event map also featured a "second chance bar".

This event did not have specific gameplay. Its main feature was event exploration, where outfit pieces, companions, and illustration pieces could be found. Illustration fragments could also be bought for 10
each. The locations for illustration fragments were random. The second chance bar enabled players to obtain a random piece of equipment if their companion came back from an exploration without having found anything fifteen times.
The following is a more detailed summary of how the event was structured:
On December 20th, the main administrator of Eldarya opened a thread announcing the start of the Christmas event. From December 20th, 2017 to January 3rd, 2018, players had access to a new exploration map. The map had 20 different locations for Companions to explore.
Companions could find either food, bait, an egg, an equipment item, or an illustration piece. If a Companion came back without bringing any equipment items, a bar underneath the map — referred to as the "second chance bar" — would progress one step. The bar would continue to fill each time a companion came back empty-handed. Once the bar reached fifteen, the player would receive a random equipment item, after which the gauge would revert back to zero. If a Companion returned with an outfit piece before the bar filled up, the bar would reset to zero.
Players could also buy clothing peieces from the Clothes Shop. Some outfits could be bought with either Maana or Gold Coins, while some could only be bought with GCs. There were two outfits that could only be found through exploration and three outfits that could only be obtained through the Clothes Shop. All outfits had different amounts of color variations.
Exclusive Companions and their baits could be bought from the Companion Shop. The eggs could only be purchased with GCs while the baits could be bought with either Maana or GCs.
Anything bought from one of the shops could not be sold on the market while items found through exploration could be, excluding the illustration pieces.
On the event page, players could see a blurred version of the event illustration and any pieces of it that they had found. Pieces could be bought for ten GCs. When all the illustration pieces were found or paid for, players had to click a button to reform the illustration. Once reformed, the picture was added to that player's illustration collection. There were eight pieces in total that could be collected.
Three new companions were obtainable during the event. The companions are:
In addition, companions from past Christmas events were available for purchase at the Companion Shop during the event for Gold Coins and could not be found in exploration. They are: Ocemas, Sowige, Pinigin, Danalasm, and Okanya.

There was also a miscellaneous outfit with no official name that was comprised of new equipment items this event.
In addition, outfits from the previous Christmas 2016 Event were available either via event exploration; however, they were slightly more rare to find in order to make way for the new outfits. The exceptions to this are the Claus's Maiden and Cosy Winter outfit, which could only be located in the Clothes Shop.
